Chris Rawlinson is an Olympic athlete who represented Great Britain and England at over 20 major international championships winning numerous international medals.
Whilst representing his country as an elite athlete he also completed full-time under and post graduate degrees at Loughborough University (UK), which is ranked as the top sports university globally. In 2007 after competing in his last major games as an athlete, Loughborough University honoured Chris for his services to sport with an Honorary Doctorate in Social Sciences - Sport.
As a coach post retirement Chris has also been successful wherein, he has coached athletes to National, Commonwealth and World titles. He has spoken internationally on coaching methodologies and worked with England Athletics on the implementation of their national coach education strategy in addition to mentoring development coaches.
Chris is currently working with the Queensland Department of Education conducting a review of representative school sport. Prior to this he has worked on the 2018 Commonwealth Games, university research, and sports commercial asset management.
Chris is passionate about sport, specifically around high performance, talent pathways and coach education.
