Iain Roy


Iain Roy is a recognised Australian sports integrity expert, most recently as the founding Head of Integrity at Cricket Australia and as an appointed member of the Gambling and Integrity Panel of the Australian esports industry association, the Esports Games Association Australia Limited. 

Iain now works with sporting and government clients on a range of sports integrity, governance and risk management matters.  His clients include Athletics Australia, Basketball Australia, Golf Australia, Hockey Australia, Swimming Australia, Racing Victoria Limited, the Australian Institute of Sport, the National Integrity of Sport Unit and Vicsport.  He recently spent time in Japan supporting the World Rugby Integrity Unit at the Rugby World Cup.

As CA’s Head of Integrity, Iain personally investigated the “Sandpapergate” ball tampering issue in South Africa in March 2018, acted on CA’s Critical Incident Management Team established in response to Phillip Hughes’ injury and subsequent death and sanctioned a number of players for betting on cricket.
