Catherine Clark


Catherine is an experienced Board Director, CEO and Senior Executive with a background in government, sport and management consulting. Her background in elite sport, talent development and building Olympic campaigns is reflected in her leadership. Catherine has a passion for achieving results through building high performing teams and organisations.

Catherine is a change agent and disruptor. She has led many successful business transformation initiatives throughout her career. She has held senior roles in Government agencies in Sport and Education, was the CEO of Gymnastics New Zealand, then Gymnastics Australia through the Beijing, London Olympic and Delhi Commonwealth Games Cycles. She has also worked for the International Paralympic Committee and coached Hockey professionally in The Netherlands.


Catherine became the CEO of Netball Queensland and the Queensland Firebirds in 2015. Under her leadership, the Firebirds have won two Premiership titles, Netball has built a new $44M state-of-the art Queensland State Netball Centre, sponsorship has increased by over 400% and over the past four years Netball has embraced a highly successful business transformation project. Results include the adoption of a new constitution, company structure and in 2019 the launch of a new digitally broadcast netball league in the HART Sapphire Series.

Catherine is an accredited AICD Company Director and sits on a number of Boards and Committees. Her most important role is being mum to Magnus, 5 and Hardy, 3.
